Hello! I'm Ten.
I'm a complete beginner when it comes to game development.
I don't have professional programming experience.
And I'm creating games in a development environment that is far from ideal.
My main development device is an Android 13 smartphone.
The AI tools and apps I use to help create my games are all free versions.
I don't have a high-end PC.
I don't have expensive development tools.
And I don't rely on paid AI services.
So I'm taking on a simple challenge:
How far can I actually go with game development under these limitations?
That question has become one of the biggest themes of my game development journey.
Free tools, of course, come with all kinds of limitations.
But instead of thinking,
"I can't do it because it's free,"
I'm trying to think,
"If it's free, how far can I push it with creativity and persistence?"
I work together with AI, experimenting, testing, fixing problems, and gradually building my games.
The game I'm currently developing is a dark fantasy RPG.
I'm a big fan of classic fantasy RPGs, tabletop RPGs, and gamebooks.
I want to create games that focus not only on flashy visuals, but also on:
tension, fear, uncertainty, and the excitement of making your own decisions.
This game is still in development.
I'll continue improving its systems, gameplay, and presentation as I work toward a finished version.
There is also something I hope to show through this project.
You don't necessarily need a perfect setup to start making games.
If you're someone who has ever thought:
"I'd like to make a game, but it seems too difficult..."
"I don't have a powerful PC, so maybe I can't..."
"Don't I need expensive AI tools or development software?"
I hope my journey might make you think:
"Maybe I could try it too."
I'm still on that journey myself.
So I'm trying to find the answer by actually making a game:
How far can a complete beginner push the limits of game development using only free AI tools and free apps?
If you play my game and think,
"Wait... you made this with that setup?"
I'll be genuinely happy.
And if you enjoy the game or find this challenge interesting, playing it, sharing your thoughts, or supporting the project would mean a lot to me.
This is still a small indie project.
But limitations can inspire creativity.
And when something seems impossible, that's exactly when I want to see how far I can push it.
I'm going to keep pushing the limits of what I can achieve with a completely free setup.
So please give my game a try.
And if you're interested, come along for the journey and let's find out together:
"How far can we go with nothing but free tools?"
